A former pupil at St Jarlath's College Tuam - Shane Buckley - has won the Pat McDonagh Business Award for his Leaving Cert achievements
The Corofin man received a H1in Business and a H2 in Accounting, and is currently studying for a Bachelor of Commerce at University of Galway.
The award includes a plaque and a €500 cash prize, which was presented by Supermac's Managing Director Pat McDonagh
Shane said he put a lot of work into his studies and the award makes it worthwhile.
