Status "Yellow" Wind Warning for Galway now comes into effect at 2pm

A Status Yellow Wind Warning for 7 counties including Galway, will now come into effect at 2pm.

The warning will remain in place until 8pm.

Met Éireann is warning people of dangerous driving conditions, with the possibility of fallen trees and branches, along with wave overtopping in coastal areas.

Meanwhile, a yellow alert for wind for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo will last between 4pm and midnight.
