Step forward for planned new Athenry fire station

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway County Council has received approval to proceed to tender for the building works for Athenry Fire Station.

It's understood tenders will now be sought from main contractors for construction of the facility.

The new single-storey fire station will be located at Ballygarraun South.

It will accommodate three fire tenders, storage areas, equipment storage, watch room, drying facilities, lecture room, compressor room and workshop.
