Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Taoiseach is to visit Connemara and the Aran islands today.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is scheduled to arrive at Clifden Community School at 11am where he will unveil a plaque at the new school building.
The new two-storey and part three-storey building, built at a cost of €7.9 million, now caters for over 400 students.
The old school building was demolished last November to make way for play areas and parking.

The Taoiseach will then travel to Inis Meáin to visit Coláiste Naomh Eoin marking its establishment as a single entity school, with its own management structure, principal and deputy principal.
