The teenager who died after a crash on the N65 outside Loughrea has been named locally as James Skelton.
The 18 year old from the Clonboo, Corrandulla area, died after a single vehicle crash at Moyleen in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The driver and two other passengers were brought by ambulance to University Hospital Galway with non-life-threatening injuries.
James completed his Leaving Certificate last year at Coláiste Bhaile Chláir.
