Three people will contest the Fine Gael selection convention to represent the party in the Galway West by-election.
The nominations process has closed, with three names vying for the candidacy.
They are City Councillor Eddie Hoare, Senator Seán Kyne from Moycullen and former President of Young Fine Gael Eoghan Gallagher.
A selection convention will take place on February 22nd in the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill, where members will vote to choose the party’s candidate.
