Transport Minister urged to prioritise funding for Western Rail Corridor

The Minister for Transport is being urged to prioritise funding for the Western Rail Corridor under the National Development Plan.

CEO of Irish Rail Mary Considine has said the first stage between Athenry and Claremorris could be delivered within three years of funding being allocated.

Galway East TD Louis O'Hara raised the Western Rail Corridor during this week's Oireachtas Transport Committee.
