University of Galway has been rated Ireland's top university for sustainability for the fifth year in a row.
It's also placed 68th in the global rankings, and 12th in Europe, showcasing its efforts to reach UN sustainable development goals.
More than 1,600 institutions from 116 countries are ranked in the The Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026.
It comes as University of Galway has launched its new Sustainability Strategy 2026-2030, which aims for a carbon-neutral, nature-positive and healthy campus
