Tribute benches are to be unveiled in Eyre Square this afternoon.
One is being dedicated to founder of the Galway Advertiser, Ronnie O'Gorman, who died in May 2024.
While the other to C.I. O'Flynn, who was Galway City and County Manager for more than 30 years.
The ceremony will take place in the city at 1:30 this afternoon.
