Two Galway creatives awarded combined €58,000 Arts Council Residencies

Two Galway creatives have been awarded a combined €58,000 in Arts Council residencies.

Irish-Language writer Laoighseach Ní Choistealbha, who lives in Carna, has been awarded a residency at Dublin City University worth €30,000.

At the University fo Galway, Jane Cassidy was named as the new resident Digital Artist, a residency that is worth €18,000.

Starting with 2026, the work of these artists will reflect the diversity and richniess of Irelands creative landscape.

Jane Cassidy says that the residency will give her a lot more structure than freelance work.
