Two of Connemara's best known figures are now telling their stories in book form.
Nioclás Ó Concubhair is known across politics and in business while Gearóid Willy Ó Fátharta is known for his life in the missions and community activism.
Gearóid Ó Fátharta or Gerry Willy as he is better known locally, was a missionary priest in South America for a long time before leaving that role, getting married and settling down in Connemara.
Nioclás Ó Concubhair set up a hardware and builder supplies company in his native Lettermore over 40 years ago, which became one of Connemara’s most successful business ventures.
He was also a County Councillor, and a Senator.
Gearóid Ó Fátharta’s book, published by Cló Iar Chonnacht, will be launched in Indreabhán tonight night.
Nicholas’s book will be launched in Leitir Móir this Sunday.
