Ireland's high standards of living can only be maintained if the country's economic model is reformed.

That's the warning form leading economist and University of Galway Professor Alan Ahearne, who says Ireland has some of the highest productivity rates in the world, but is being led by foregin multi-national companies.

The research - commissioned by Stripe founders John and Patrick Collison - shows that the Irish economy has one of the highest productivity rates in the world, with decades of growth driving rising incomes and high living standards.
