A woman was taken to UHG as a precaution, after an incident at the Eye Cinema on the Wellpark Road in the city
Gardaí assisted Galway Fire and Rescue Service last evening, and photos and videos online show flooding damage at the premises
The Eye Cinema says it is closed until further notice due to structural damage, and customers are asked not to travel to the cinema at this time.
The area was evacuated and a safety cordon put in place.
