A woman was taken to UHG as a precaution, after an incident at Eye Cinema on the Wellpark Road.
Gardaí assisted Galway Fire and Rescue Service at the incident last evening.
The Eye Cinema is closed until further notice due to structural damage, and customers are asked not to travel to the cinema at this time.
The area was evacuated and a safety cordon put in place.
