Work underway on public lighting on Ballyloughane road

Work is underway on the repair of the public lighting on Ballyloughane Road,

The lights have been out of order for over thirteen months as a result of underground cables being damaged.

Cllr Terry O'Flaherty says that because the infrastructure, including cables and columns, was more than 50 years old, new up-to-standard cabling and other works were needed.

She has thanked the Galway City Council Roads department and Electric Skyline for carrying out the works.
