Uisce Éireann crews are in Corrandulla from this week to begin a programme of water mains replacement.
A kilometre of aging water mains will be replaced with new pipes to ensure a more secure and reliable supply of drinking water.
The mains replacement from Aucloggeen to Tumnahalla will also help to reduce instances of bursts.
The works will be carried out by Farrans Construction.

They will involve traffic management and occasional road closures and are expected to be completed by summer.
