Works in city to repair burst watermain affecting busy city routes

Works have been taking place overnight to repair a burst watermain affecting several busy city roads.

The fault has been impacting areas including College ROad, Lough Atalia Road and Wellpark Road.

Uisce Éireann says the fault has been restored, but it may take some time for water to be restored to all customers

It usually takes two to three hours after repairs for normal supply to be restored, but it may be longer for those at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
