A cyclist has been taken to UHG with serious injuries following a collision with a lorry at the junction of the N6 and Quincentenary Bridge yesterday.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the incident, which occurred at approximately 4pm.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 50s, was taken University Hospital Galway to be treated for serious injuries.
The road was closed for a period of time but re-opened later yesterday evening.
