Portumna Food Fayre: There's plenty to look forward to in Portumna this Sunday as Valerie Hughes broadcasts The Wagon Wheel live from the town, bringing listeners all the atmosphere from one of the area's most popular summer events.
We're delighted to support the Portumna Food Fayre with Local Artisan Producers, hosted by Destination Lough Derg in partnership with Portumna Chamber of Commerce.
Taking place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 12 noon to 4:00pm on St. Patrick's Street, the Food Fayre promises a fantastic day out for all ages, celebrating the very best of local food, crafts, music, and community spirit.
Visitors can browse a wonderful selection of artisan food producers, sample delicious local flavours, discover fresh produce, and enjoy a vibrant marketplace showcasing the talents of local makers. Live music and family-friendly entertainment throughout the afternoon will add to the festive atmosphere, making it the perfect summer outing.
For the duration of the event, St. Patrick's Street will become a pedestrian-only zone, allowing visitors to relax, explore the stalls, and enjoy everything the festival has to offer in a safe and welcoming setting.
Admission is free, making it an ideal opportunity to support local businesses, meet artisan producers, and experience the warm hospitality that Portumna is renowned for.
Be sure to tune in to The Wagon Wheel with Valerie on Sunday morning 11 to 1pm as Valerie broadcasts live from Portumna, and then make your way to the town to enjoy an afternoon filled with great food, entertainment, and community celebration.
