LEO Galway’s Head of Enterprise Caroline McDonagh and Celtic Dynamics founder Dylan Walsh on Bay Business

This week on Bay Business, Breda Fox is joined by LEO Galway’s Head of Enterprise, Caroline McDonagh, and Celtic Dynamics founder, Dylan Walsh.

Caroline McDonagh is Head of Enterprise at the Local Enterprise Office Galway, leading the team that supports entrepreneurs and small businesses across Galway city and county. With extensive experience in enterprise development, she works with microbusinesses, SMEs and growthfocused firms, helping them to start, scale and compete in a changing economy.

Through LEO Galway, Caroline and her team provide a “firststop shop” for anyone with a business idea, offering advice, mentoring, training and financial supports, including priming, expansion, green and digital grants. Her focus is on enabling entrepreneurship, driving innovation and strengthening the local business ecosystem across the West.

Among the founders benefitting from that ecosystem is Dylan Walsh, CEO and founder of Celtic Dynamics, a Galwaybased energy services company helping organisations cut energy costs and carbon emissions through advanced audit and engineering solutions.

An NUIG-trained energy engineer, Dylan has already been recognised as Business AllStar Energy Services Entrepreneur of the Year, and next Thursday he will represent Galway at the National Enterprise Awards in the Mansion House, having been nominated through the Local Enterprise Office. His journey reflects the kind of innovative, impactdriven enterprise that Caroline and LEO Galway aim to support.
