Galway United's Aoibheann Costello has been named on the Women's League of Ireland 2025 Team of the Season.
Aoibheann is the only Galway girl selected for the team, having impressed throughout the league as United finished in 3rd place behind champions Athlone and second-placed Shelbourne.
The 21-year-old defender from Belmont in Milltown completed her third season at United last month, having played with Cregmore Claregalway FC as a youth. She started her senior career with Galway WFC before signing for Phil Trill’s United side for the 2023 season.
