Get ready for an exhilarating football experience as 3v3 Ireland makes its way to the West! Hosted by the esteemed Salthill Devon FC at their premier facilities in Drom, this dynamic event is scheduled to take place over two action-packed days on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, 2025, starting at 10am each day.
From Under-6s to Adults, both boys and girls will have the opportunity to participate in this fast-paced, small-sided football format that's revolutionising the game. Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking to enjoy the sport with friends, 3v3 Ireland offers an inclusive and thrilling environment for all.

Teams consist of four players (three on the field plus one substitute) and can be formed by clubs, schools, academies, or simply a group of friends eager to join the excitement. It's football made simple, social, and geared towards development.

Details:
- Surface: Astro
- Footwear: No metal studs allowed
- Pitch: Games are played on our unique 15 m x 10 m Airpitch system, which keeps the ball in play longer.
- Team Size: Minimum 3 players, maximum 4 players per team, with 3 players playing at one time
- Subs: Rolling substitutions (1-minute intervals, managed by the referee)
- Games: 6 / 8 minute games
- Grades: Teams will be assigned pitches on arrival
- Ball: Size 4 futsal
- Equipment: Coloured bibs are provided for each team on the day
- Spectator area: There is areas around the pitch to view all matches and events, but no spectator is allowed pitch side
- On the pitch: Only players are allowed on/ inside the pitch area
- Format: League phase leading to knockout if successful in the league phase. Numbers qualifying from the league phase will be announced on the day before the start
Rules:
- Restarts after a goal and game KO start with a centre kick off back to their team on the whistle
- If the ball goes out, then the opposition has a kick-in from where the ball went out, and the opposition must be 1m away from the ball.
- After each goal, the scoring team must retreat to their half and wait until the ball is kicked off. At kick-off after a goal, the ball must be at the centre line and be kicked backwards to start.
- Any foul/handball in the attacking half ( beyond the white centre line that is on the pitch side ) is a half-way line open net penalty. In your half, it's a free kick.
- Players can not stand inside the exclusion zone around their goal,the opposition can score inside the zone
- Players must stand a minimum of 1m away from a free kick.
- You cannot score from your half.
- Players being subbed must tag the sub entering the pitch on exit. The sub can only enter after being tagged and only enter at the white line marking on the pitch side
- No slide tackles
- Sin bins - any serious foul play will result in a 3-minute sin bin. The player must leave the pitch and only return once the referee confirms it is OK to do so.
- No sub is allowed to take the place of the sin-binned player, The subbed player will rotate with the other 2 players left on the pitch
- Red cards may be given by referees, which will result in a minimum 2-game ban for the individual player.
- The game is forfeited to a 3-0 loss if a team has only 1 player left on the pitch or they do not fulfil the fixture
- Referees decision is final
