Lisa Casserly has been named AIB Camogie Club Player of the Year after playing a starring role for Athenry, as they enjoyed their first Galway Senior Championship victory since 2009.
She delivered in defence throughout the campaign, as they overcame Dicksboro in the last four, before seeing off St Finbarr's in a thrilling replay. Her leadership, tireless work rate, and ability to influence crucial moments, including her team's resilience in the drawn final, truly set her apart in an unforgettable season.
After being announced as Player of the Year, Lisa chatted to Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly on 'Saturday Sport.'
