Ciaran Cannon Elected As President Of Cycling Ireland

Ciaran Cannon became the first Galway and Connacht person to be elected as the incoming President of Cycling Ireland following the organisation's Annual General Meeting.

Cannon will take on the role of Cycling Ireland President for the next three years, as the organisation continues its development agenda and drives towards the goals outlined in the organisation's Strategic Plan, released in late 2024.

A lifelong cyclist and strong advocate for improved road safety, Cannon is a former Minister for State and TD.

He spoke to John Mulligan on Saturday Sport about his election.
