In their first year in existence, Clonfert College Ballinasloe secured provincial hurling silverware at the Connacht GAA Centre, Bekan on Monday (2nd March 2026) as they came from behind to overcome CBS Roscommon in a sudden-death penalty contest.
Cillian Ó Tuairisg's goal brought the Galway side back in contention as they finished all square after 60 mins (1-12 apiece) and extra-time (1-16 apiece). It needed seven penalties each to secure a 3-2 victory and send Clonfert College into an All-Ireland semi-final next Saturday (7th March).
Afterwards, Clonfert manager Emmet Mahony shared his thoughts on the victory.
