Coláiste Bhaile Chláir Book their Place in Tony O'Neill Cup Decider with Dramatic Extra Time Victory

Colaiste Bhaile Chlair are through to the FAI Schools Dr Tony O’Neill Senior Cup Final after a dramatic 4-2 win over St Columba’s College from Stanorlar in Donegal in the Semi-Final this afternoon in Gurteen in Sligo. Conor Tivnan’s side went a goal down after just five minutes through Cian Thompson, but came back to level in the 83rd minute with David McLaughlin scoring a peach of a goal to bring it to extra time.
Colaiste Bhaile Chlair took the lead after just 2 minutes of extra time, with McLaughlin scoring his second, but St Columba’s equalised with a goal from Calum Long on 97 Minutes.
Claregalway took the lead with Michael Branbury scoring in the 106th minute, and Kalem Ainsworth sealed the win with Claregalway’s fourth in the 108th minute.
Colaiste Bhaile Chlair will face either CBC from Cork or Wexford CBS in the final on the 19th of March.
The other semi-final will take place on Thursday at a venue to be confirmed.
