Community Games Update

Because of Remedial works ongoing at Ballinderreen GAA Pitch, Galway Community Games has had to move their County Finals taking place next Sunday, 1st June, to Kinvara GAA Pitch.

We wish to sincerely thank Ballinderreen GAA and Ballinderreen Community Games for the support and courtesy shown to County Community Games over many years and we hope that when all their upgrading work is completed, we will be able to return to the venue.

The County Finals will now take place in Kinvara GAA pitch, and we owe a debt of gratitude to the Kinvara GAA Committee, who at very short notice are allowing us the use their excellent facilities.

We ask that everyone attending on Sunday to respect the grounds and the officials.

Over 900 competitors will take part in Athletics Track, Field and Relays over the course of the day.  It is a huge undertaking for a very small County Committee, but we could not organise without the assistance of Area Volunteers.

We wish all the competitors the best of luck and a day of fun.

Individual Track: 1st place from County will go straight through to National Finals and 2nd and 3rd will go through to a Regional Qualifier which takes in Athlone ASUT on 9th August.

The top 3 from the Regional Qualifiers will also go to National.

The County has organised over 30 County Finals, with competitions in Soccer, Hurling, Camogie, and Gaelic Football ongoing.

The County Finals of Hurling, Camogie, U/10 Mixed Gaelic. U12 Girls Gaelic and U/14 Girls Gaelic will be played in Kinvara on Saturday, 21st June.
