Connacht opened up their 25/26 URC campaign with a bonus point win over Benetton at Dexcom Stadium on Saturday night. Josh Ioane scored Connacht's first try after eight minute's set the tone for Stuart Lancaster's side. Sean Naughton went over for Connacht's second try and the home side had a 12-3 lead at the break.
Louis Lynagh got a try for Benetton early in the second half but when they went down to 14 after a yellow card, Connacht took full advantage as Dylan Tierney-Martin and Sean Jansen going over for tries, and by the time Benetton grabbed a late consolation, the win was already long secured.
