Loughrea Golf Club are the Revive Active Women’s four ball Connacht Champions following their 4 ½ to 3 ½ win over Bearna played over two legs.
The first leg took place in Loughrea, where the home side established an early advantage thanks to victories from Mary O’Loughlin and Cathy Glynn, Chris Greally and Helen Shaughnessy and Marie Kelly and Síobhan Glynn. That gave Loughrea a two-point cushion heading into the return leg in Bearna.
The second leg saw a spirited comeback from Bearna but wins for Marie Kelly and Cathy Glynn and Marie Hannon Healy and Síobhan Glynn secured the points for overall victory and the Connacht pennant.
