County Galway Cricket Club Looking To Make History In National Cup Final

This Sunday, Bready CC will host the Cricket Ireland National Cup Final with County Galway looking to make history for the club and Cricket in the West of Ireland.

The National Cup is a 40-over all-Ireland club cup competition involving the next tier of clubs not in the Irish Senior Cup and for County Galway, it is their first appearance in the decider since 1974.

If they were to beat County Kerry in the final on Sunday, it would be the club's first win in the competition since 1954. A gap of 71 years.

William Davies looks ahead to Sunday's final.
