It was a special day for Dunmore Community School, who did the double in winning the Connacht Rugby Schools Girls Junior A and U14 League titles at Dexcom Stadium.
The Junior A title went to Dunmore Community School who beat Sacred Heart Westport by 30 points to 7. The Dunmore tries came from Josie Bishop, Caoilinn Whyte, Kayla Costello and Ava Donelon with Costello kicking two conversions and 2 penalties.
And Dunmore did the double by winning the U14 Final beating Mercy Sligo 44-14 with their tries coming from Caoilinn Whyte and Jessica Corless with two and one each for Caolin Maloney, Eabha Kirrane, Aoibhinn Slattery and Caitlin Gorham. Riona Tuohy kicked two conversions.
William Davies was at Dexcom Stadium and he first spoke to the Junior A winners.
He spoke to Joint Head Coaches Keith Corless and Dave Mbazira, Captain Leah Corless and Principal of Dunmore Community School Declan Quinn.
Keith told William that it was a phenomenal performance from the girls in the second half.
After the U14 win, William spoke to Coach Dave Mbazira and Captain Holly Hevican.
Dave said it was a great day for Dunmore Community School.
