Galway 2-26 Cork 1-18 (All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Semi-Final Commentary & Reaction)

Galway booked their place in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final on Saturday afternoon, beating Cork after a stunning display at Croke Park.

Galway started well, leading 1-4 to 0-3 after Darragh Neary goaled inside the first 10 minutes. The Tribesmen surrendered that lead when Alan Walsh raised a green flag for the rebels on 24 minutes, but the Westerner's stayed in touch going into half time 1-13 to 1-12 behind.

Galway steered ahead down the stretch as nine points without reply with efforts from Cathal Mannion, Tom Monaghan, Conor Whelan, Gavin Lee and Ronan Glennon coupled with a second yellow card for Cork's Darragh Fitzgibbon saw Cork's grip on the game loosen. Conor Cooney rounded off the perfect afternoon for Micheal Donoghue's side as his goal in stoppage time means Galway will return to Croke Park in two weeks time for the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final against Clare or Limerick.

The commentary of the game was by Sean Walsh, Cyril Farrell, Niall Canavan and Andy Coen.
