Upcoming fixtures

This Saturday, August 23rd, features the Clare River Harriers organised 2025 Claregalway Road Races, a 5k and a 10k.

Entry is open on Eventmaster, and online entry fee for the 10k is €20.  The 10K will start near Claregalway National School at 6pm.

For the Claregalway 5K, online entry fee is €15. U16 €5 entry fee (Registration on the day available), and the 5K will start near Claregalway Community Centre at 6.15pm.

Race Number pickup and late entries will be in the Claregalway Community Centre from 4.15pm on Saturday, 23rd August 2025.

Free Cap for the first 200 entries.

The event is chip timed and permit approved.

Next weekend sees the National Half Marathon in Tullamore, which takes place on 30th August 2025, and a large contingent of Galway club athletes will race in the hunt for medals.

Fahy Win

Loughrea athlete Darragh Fahy capped a great season off, as he became the U20 Scottish champion in the Triple Jump with a jump of 13.75m as his season finale, last weekend.
