The Sweeney Oil Intermediate Football Championship came to boiling point this weekend as quarter-final places were up for grabs.
On Saturday, Caltra were too strong for Mícheál Breathnach as they booked their ticket to the quarter finals on a 1-16 to 2-7 scoreline at Pearse Stadium.
On Sunday Corofin B were impressive as they eased past Glenemaddy 6-18 to 1-10. Cortoon Shamrocks battled hard to overcome a strong Menlough challenge at Duggan Park, while Caherlistrane edged Kilconly 0-09 to 1-04.
The draw for the quarter finals was made on Sunday evening and resulted in the following matchups:

An Spidéal v Cortoon Shamrocks
St. Brendan's v Caherlistrane
All fixtures will be played on the weekend ending 28th September.
