Following one of the most dramatic finals seen in many years, the Galway Minor Ladies Footballers beat Mayo on a free kick shootout to win the Connacht title at the Connacht GAA Centre on Sunday.
The teams could not be separated throughout the game. At half-time it was 1-4 each, and at the end of normal time, the score read Galway 1-7 Mayo 1-7.
This led to extra time, and again, the teams finished level: Galway 2-8, Mayo 1-11.
It meant a free kick shootout with Galway holding their nerve to win 5-4.
