On the day Stephen Walsh made history by making his 369th record appearance for Galway United, the boys in maroon delivered a priceless SSE Airtricity League Men's Premier Division victory in Eamonn Deacy Park on Friday (17th October 2025).

Patrick Hickey's goal on 36 minutes was followed by a David Hurley 59th-minute penalty to move the Tribesmen up to 7th place, ahead of relegation play-off rivals Sligo Rovers and Waterford on goal difference, with a game in hand.

After the game, man of the moment Stephen Walsh and goalscorer David Hurley chatted to Galway Bay FM's Jonathan Higgins.

Galway United midfielder Axel Piesold then caught up with Galway Bay FM's Mike Rafferty.

Finally, Mike got the thoughts of Galway United manager John Caulfield.
