It was confirmed on Saturday afternoon that the Central Council had approved Galway GAA's request to allow Galway United to use Pearse Stadium next year.
The application had been put before Congress with the full backing of Galway GAA for United to play, as drainage works would be underway at Eamon Deacy Park
United will play four to six games across July and August.
