Galway begin their quest for championship honours this Saturday (25th April 2026) when they face Leitrim in the Connacht senior championship semi-final.
The Tribesmen are taking their first step towards a possible five-in-a-row of provincial honours but will meet opponents still buoyed by their 3-15 to 1-20 quarter-final win over Sligo.
That being said, Leitrim haven't beaten Galway in the championship since the 1994 semi-final in Tuam Stadium, before going on to land just their second title.
Leading up to the game, Galway captain John Maher has been chatting to Galway Bay FM's John Mulligan.
John also got the thoughts of Galway selector Mickey Graham, who was Leitrim manager for just two months back in 2024.
Throw-in at Heartland Credit Union Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada on Saturday is 3.30pm and we'll have LIVE coverage here on Galway Bay FM.
