It was a good afternoon's work on Saturday in the Energia All-Ireland Division 2A and 2B for the Galway sides as both Corinthians and Galwegians recorded crucial victories in their respective divisions.
Corinthians welcomed Cashel to Corinthian Park on Saturday afternoon in a game that would turn out to be a nail-biting affair. Despite trailing by nine points to no score at a stage, Corinthians fought back to win on a scoreline of 10-9. Corinthians now sit in third place in the All-Ireland League Division 2A with five wins and three losses. They are five points behind Dungannon in second.

Galwegians travelled to Navan looking to keep their perfect record intact. And that they did, running in four tries in a 24-3 away victory in Navan. Galwegians have now won eight out of eight games in Division 2B and sit top of the table on 40 points, 13 points clear of second-place Malone.

Next Saturday is the final round of league fixtures before the Christmas break. Corinthians travel to table toppers Barnhall at 1:45 while Galwegians look to go nine wins from nine as they host sixth place Skerries at 2 pm.
