Glenamaddy Community School booked their place in the FAI All-Ireland Post Primary Schools final after a 5-2 victory over Pobalscoil Ghaoith Dobhair at the Showgrounds this afternoon.
A fast start saw Aisling Kennedy rattle the net just 90 seconds into the contest, with Beth O'Mahony doubling the East Galway School's advantage 12 minutes later. Ghaoith Dobhair pulled one just before half-time, but Glenamaddy put them to the sword in the second half, going 4-1 up when Ruby McGuire and Kennedy again were on target. Lily Nic Ruairí made it 4-2 with six minutes to go, but three minutes later, a Michelle Mulryan corner was deflected into the back of the net to put the icing on the cake.
Glenamaddy Community School now advance to the All-Ireland Final, where they will face either St. Peter's Passage West or St. Killian's Clonskeagh on the 25th of February.
