Oughterard's Kieran Molloy has faced off with rival Kaisee Benjamin at their staredown in Pearse Stadium, ahead of their showdown at the same venue on Saturday, 28th June.
The Galway welterweight is 11 fights unbeaten with six knockouts and being tipped for future world championship honours. He headlines the card in Salthill with the WBA European Championship on the line.
Kieran Molloy chatted to Galway Bay FM's John Mulligan.
Opposite him on June 28th is former British champion Kaisee Benjamin (18-4-1, 6 KO's). The Birmingham man travels to Galway looking to derail Molloy's hype train and take the European title - and the opportunities it represents - for himself.
Benjamin has a reputation as a particularly gritty combatant who forces every opponent into a war, guaranteeing a tough test for talented technician Molloy.
Benjamin also shared his thoughts with John.
Izzy Asif is Molloy's promoter and promoter of the event and he looked ahead to the event with John.
Known as 'The Voice of Boxing,' veteran boxing commentator Adam Smith from Sky Sports and DAZN and Galway's own Seán Ban Breathnach were next to chat to John.
Next to share his thoughts was Kieran's father Stephen.
Sean O'Connor is the Finance & Operations Manager for Galway GAA.
And finally, Boxing Union of Ireland (BUI) President Mel Christle.
The event will air LIVE on June 28th and exclusively worldwide - including in the USA - on DAZN, one of the world's leading sports broadcast networks. And we'll also have coverage here on Galway Bay FM.
