The Knocknacarra Girls U14 Football team from Galway are attempting to raise €10,000 to compete in a Spanish tournament, which they have been invited to take part in.
The girls have been offered to compete in the Copa Daurada 2025, an international youth tournament in Salou, Spain. The team wish to gather €10,000 to cover the cost of flights, accommodation, meals, registration, kits, gear, insurance and supervision. Local events and sponsorship opportunities are also being organised alongside the GoFundMe.
Organiser Declan Devaney says, "The girls have worked incredibly hard this season. Their dedication, sportsmanship and team spirit are second to none. Help us give them the chance to shine on the international stage." He went on to say this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the girls to showcase their talent on a global stage.
So far, €698 of the €2,800 online target has been raised.
