Galway’s Shane Curran has been selected on the Ireland team for an international Para football tournament in the Netherlands from 23rd-25th October.
The Moycullen player will join the 12-person squad for three days of action.
The M. Donnelly GAA Wheelchair Hurling Camogie programme continues to break new ground as its athletes prepare to represent Ireland at the prestigious International Para Floorball Tournament in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands, from October 23rd to 25th, 2025.
GAA President, Jarlath Burns said: "This upcoming trip marks a proud moment for the Association and for Irish sport. Our Wheelchair Hurling Camogie players exemplify the spirit of determination, teamwork, and pride in representing Ireland. We wish them every success as they take to the international stage once more."
The tournament, hosted at Sports Hall De Veur, will feature teams from seven nations and promises to be a showcase of elite para-sport talent.
GAA For All Chairperson, Tanya Roberts Browne, added: “I would like to acknowledge the tremendous work of Tony Watene for his organisation around the trip and thank the coaching team for their commitment in preparing the squad. We look forward to seeing the players represent Ireland with distinction.”
A longtime advocate for inclusive Gaelic Games, Martin Donnelly, added: "It’s inspiring to see athletes like captain – Ciarán Bradley leading the way. His passion and teamwork embody the values of Irish sport, and I’m proud to support this teams journey."
Team captain Bradley shared his thoughts ahead of the event: "Leading this team is a tremendous honour. We’ve trained hard, built strong bonds, and are ready to represent Ireland with pride. Every player brings something special, and I’m proud to stand beside them as captain."
