Moyne Villa FC win Provincial Honours at Volunteers in Sport Awards

Moyne Villa Soccer Club, Headford, has been recognised at the prestigious Volunteers in Sport Awards, receiving a Connacht provincial award in recognition of the dedication and hard work of its volunteers. The awards, hosted by the Federation of Irish Sport and supported by the National Network of 29 Local Sports Partnerships, celebrate the outstanding contribution of volunteers who give freely of their time, skills and passion to support sports clubs and community organisations across Ireland. They took place in Dublin last Thursday, the 26th of February.
With over 460,000 volunteers contributing to sport each week nationwide, the awards highlight the vital role volunteers play in fostering participation, strengthening communities, and ensuring sport remains accessible to all. Moyne Villa Soccer Club’s recognition at provincial level is a testament to the commitment, teamwork and community spirit of its volunteers, whose tireless efforts ensure that players of all ages in Headford have the opportunity to participate, develop and enjoy the game. The club would like to sincerely thank all of its volunteers for their continued dedication and support, without which the club would not be possible.
