For the third time in four years, Portumna Community School and Holy Rosary College Mountbellew collide this Saturday (28th February) in the Connacht Post Primary Schools Senior Hurling Final.
Holy Rosary won their 2023 meeting (0-13 to 0-12), but Portumna gained some revenge in 2024 (3-12 to 0-10).
Portumna are unbeaten in this year's campaign and overcame Clarin College Athenry (2-17 to 0-11) in the semi-final. Holy Rosary's only defeat was to their final opponents, but they bounced back with victories against Seamount Kinvara (7-23 to 0-13) and St. Cuan's Castleblakeney (2-15 to 0-19).
Leading up to the game, Portumna Community School manager Kevin Hanney has been chatting to Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly.
Darren also got the thoughts of Holy Rosary College Mountbellew boss David Concannon.
Throw-in at St. Croan's GAA, Enfield, Roscommon on Saturday is 12.30pm and we'll have updates here on Galway Bay FM.
