St Joseph’s The Bish are the FAI Schools Connacht Junior A Boys Champions after beating Colaiste Chiarain 3-2 in the final this afternoon in Colemanstown.
In a tight, tense final, The Bish went a goal down after seven minutes before an equaliser from Tom Devlin in the 22nd.
They then took the lead with a sublime effort from Jamie Corcoran five minutes before half-time, but Colaiste Chiarain equalised on the hour mark.
With just six minutes remaining, Cayden Harty scored the winner for The Bish.
Manager Coley Kelly gave his reaction to the win to John Mulligan.
He said that the team showed real character.
The Bish will face St. Patrick's College, Cavan in the Tom Ticher National Cup Semi-Final on Tuesday.
