St. Michael's are the Peter Curran Electrical intermediate football champions after a thrilling battle that went to extra-time in Tuam Stadium on Saturday (9th November 2024).

Ronan MacGiolla Rí's goal was decisive in getting the city side over the line and securing a third intermediate crown following previous wins in 1985 and 2008.

Afterwards, St. Michael's joint captain Dave Cunnane caught up with Galway Bay FM's Tommy Devane.

Tommy then got the thoughts of man of the match Eamonn Brannigan.

St. Michael's meet Mayo's Crossmolina next Saturday (16th November) in the Connacht intermediate semi-final.  Throw-in at MacHale Park, Castlebar is 1.30pm.
