Connacht Rugby's announcement back in June (2025) that former England head coach and Leinster senior coach Stuart Lancaster drew attention.
Lancaster brings experience probably not seen by any of his predecessors, including leading his country into the 2015 World Cup, helping Leinster to four PRO14 titles and the 2018 European Champions Cup, and he recently served as head coach in Racing 92 in France.
His career spans over 20 years, and he'll have responsibility for defence as well as his Head Coach role.
Stuart Lancaster has been chatting to Galway Bay FM's William Davies.
Connacht will start the European Challenge Cup away to Ospreys on Sunday, 7th December, before hosting Georgia’s Black Lion six days later.
Connacht then head to Montpellier on Sunday, 11th January, before welcoming French side Mont-a-bán on the 17th.
