Three-time All-Ireland Cairn Community Games Long Puck champion Cara Giblin recently met an Irish sporting legend whom she shares a historic place in history following her recent successes at the National Finals.
The Ardrahan athlete became only the second person ever to achieve that feat following consecutive wins in 2022, 2023 and 2024. The last time that happened was back in 1976, 1977 and 1978 when former Republic of Ireland soccer international Niall Quinn did the same.
Both sports stars recently met when Niall Quinn visited Galway Bay golf club. Cara recently captained Ardrahan to under-14 All-Ireland glory at the Natioanl Final in SETU Carlow.
