Claregalway-based industrial battery firm Xerotech cannot open again without a cast-iron guarantee there'll be no repeat of this week's fire.
That's according to Junior Minister and Galway West TD Noel Grealish.
It's as a significant incident at a shipping container outside Xerotech at Claregalway Corporate Park is now in its third day.
The cause is faulty lithium-ion batteries - and fire crews have had immense difficulty keeping them cool and stopping them from reigniting.

The Corporate Park, two local schools and some homes at Lakeview had to be evacuated yesterday and some firefighters were taken to hospital.
Independent Junior Minister Noel Grealish told John Morley he doesn't want to see Xerotech reopened unless guarantees are given.
