Funding has been allocated for conservation works at two well-known Galway buildings under the Government's Historic Structures Fund.
€170,000 has been granted to Aras na nGael, the historic Galway Arts Centre on Dominick Street.
In the County, Athenry Arts and Heritage Centre is to get over €90,000.
The conservation works include roof repairs and water mitigation measures.

Nationally, over €4.4 million has been awarded to 40 projects.
